I will draw a name every day beginning Dec 1 through the 12th. The prizes are epic and will be the greatest holiday gifts to share or to keep for yourself. We have expressive shirts from PETA, books, vegan bath products and animal rights, tofu lovin swag to share.
Today is the first day so enter to win by commenting on today’s post or sending me an email saying Hey, I want to win! to: Sherry@ExploitsOfaVeganWannabe.com and you will start racking up chances to win Dec 1-12. Please tell your pals about the Exploits blog and the daily giveaways so we can reach more Compassionate Consumers on this journey. All are welcome and everything is more fun with friends.
The Holidays make me yearn for comfort foods. I also become nostalgic for meals and experiences I am not sure if I ever really experienced or just saw on TV. Big meals, tables full of pies and steamy kitchen windows. Now that I’m choosing to only enjoy feasts without any beasts, I’m learning to re-imagine those dishes while still satisfying my emotional desire to experience that romantic holiday feeling in my belly and heart.
My numero uno on that list is green bean casserole. I crave it every year around this time and begin to find excuses for preparing it sometimes more than once a week. I’ve been vegetarian for 13 years, so this has been easy, just make it with a veggie base cream soup and done. This is my first holiday season being vegan and now I am searching for that recipe that will satiate my desire for that creamy bean, crusty onion-y dish of love.
Here are two recipes that I found using the Blog Recipe Search on the right side of this page. (we have not tried either one yet, so please tell me if you do and what you think)
