8/08 Lets Celebrate

versatile

“Exploits”  has been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award by GiGi from Veganville.  Being recognized by a vegan, blogging, baking goddess is almost more than I could have hoped for “Exploits of a Vegan Wannabe.” Gigi, I thank you from the bottom of my dairy free heart for this honor.

I am grateful that so many of you are willing to share your precious time with me. I really, really love writing this blog. Thank you for reading it.

The Versatile Blogger award comes with a built in plan for sharing the love.

~Thank the person who gave you the award.  Check out Gigi’s cool blog here,  Veganville.

~Share seven things about yourself.

~Give this award out to other bloggers that you think are fabulous, interesting and deserving.

~Contact each of the bloggers you chose.

Seven Things about me

~I played drums for eight years.

~ I have a double major in Cultural Anthropology and Comparative Religious Studies which means I am mostly qualified to be a vegan lifestyles blogger and jewelry designer.

~When I was in third grade I told my entire class I wanted to be an opera singer when I grew up. That went over huge.

~A portion of my heart was abducted by a Calico named Waxbean

~I was the Henry Ford Elementary School spelling bee champ in both the 3rd and 4th grades.

~When I was 19 I moved to Boston with a long haired poet with a British accent in a rock band that I hardly knew. Turned out to be the most fantastic thing ever and I stayed 6 years.

~Being in, near or on the water is where I feel  most at home.

The Versatile Blogger suggests that you share 15 blogs that you love. I am new to the blogosphere and my list is a work in progress. I would like to share the following eight that I think are inspiring and insightful.

Cest La Vegan

Get Sconed

Lunch Box Lunch

Times Union

Animal Rights and AntiOpression

Fat Free Vegan

Veg Blogs

So let’s celebrate and have a delicious weekend.

Congratulations!! And that is super cool that you played drums! Hmm, i’m thinking a future Williams Street Drum Circle?

  2. Sherry Says:

Thank you. I am really, really excited.
A Williams Street Drum Circle would be fantastic and fun for the whole family. We have to invite the entire street so no one gets cranky and calls the authorities. I don’t know how we wold explain that away in suburbia.

let’s pretend we were friends in boston circa 2001. ; )

  4. Sherry Says:

Boston felt like the holy Mecca of coolness. Did you ever spend a chilly afternoon sitting outside at the Harvard Square Au Bon Pain? It felt so magical there on the patio with the iron chairs and the leaves blowing through the streets.
